It's about time somebody made a game that doesn't use DX 9. DX 10 has been out for a few years and this is the first game to actually use it as the minimum requirement. Hopefully by 2011 we'll see start to see DX 9 phased out in a lot of games. /rant

Is it just me or is your character actually tessellated and not just bump mapped like most games? I noticed some of the environment looked like it was tessellated too. Man I really hope I can get a job before DX 11 becomes something not worth drooling over anymore.

A 5970 is complete overkill for any game out right now even a 5870 is more than enough for any game. A 5850 is all you need to run today's games with no problems. Also, this game is NOT realistic and if it was it would be terrible.

Indeed, the 5970 is overkill.  I would not spend like 700 dollars just for a video card when I can spend like 339 for a 5850 which will run any game out without problems. ($339 is still expensive but a better deal)
Maybe in about a year or so the 5970 would be worth buying, but as far as I'm concerned, it's just an overpriced video card right now. It's funny because, my laptop costed about 120 dollars less than that card costs alone!
Anyways, nice video! I've already seen a DX11 video posted earlier on the forums, DX11 looks very nice.   Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I remember from the other video that there is lots more wire-frames or something in DX11 to give a clearer picture and more detail.

Yes the more wire-frames is tessellation.

Hardware tessellation with DirectX 11 (Unigine "Heaven" benchmark)

Hey Admino is your real name Robert??And can u pls tell me your system specs.
Why do you want to know my real name? My specs are...

CPU: AMD Phenom II 3.4GHz x4 Black Edition
GPU: Sapphire HD 5850 1GB (1024MB) GDDR5
PSU: 750W
Motherboard: nForce9M-A
HDD: 500GB Maxtor SATA
RAM: 6GB DDR2 dual channel

Peripherals
Mouse: Logitech MX518
Monitor: Samsung 22" 2ms 3000:1 dynamic contrast LCD

The game plays at 90 FPS with all settings on maximum detail. So if you think it'll look better with a 5970, then you clearly are on drugs. Also guess what? VRAM means nothing compared to the clock speed. Having 50GB of GDDR5 will mean nothing. It's about the clock speed, not VRAM.
