Bany vs. Basium
Tbh none of you really made a good retro feeling, so I'm just gonna comment on the editing.
Bany: The intro was kinda cool, but you could've done something more to make the shift of the songs merge with the feel of the said song, like changing cc's or something. The angles were pretty bad, as they didn't seem to have any focus, they were really random & a bit choppy. The cc didn't fit at all, you put dull, uninteresting colors on a bright, attractive song, so the feel was really ruined. I have no idea why you didn't cut the song... that was really unnecessary.
Basium: Your angles were pretty good, they were well-focused, but a little choppy, some of the clips seemed sped up, which didn't really look that good. The effects were nice, tho you used tv simulator way too much & the art beats didn't fit at all imo, you could've at least desaturated & color balanced them to blend in with the colors. Otherwise the sync was pretty good & the colors were somewhat fitting to the atmosphere of the song.
Try not to add effect on every beat you hear, sort them out & put effects were they are really needed.
My vote goes to Basium.
Cloudwalker vs Mxz
CW: Great angles as always, the reflection thingy on the bottom looked really good, clever idea. The first half of the vid didn't really seem all that aggressive, I suppose you were trying to build up for that, but in order to do that, you should've started from a less aggressive part of the song. The second half was pretty much pumped up & fit very well with the song, tho I gotta say that the radial blur didn't work for this. The sync was great as well.
Mxz: That was awesome. Really liked the freeplay angle on the first clip, some text there would've made for a really great intro. The usage of effects on the first stunt was overkill tho, some of them were synced to really unsyncable parts of the song, making them seem off-synced. Other than that, I really loved this entry, the angles were really good & the cc fits perfectly with the song. The effects, apart from the last tv simulator, which didn't really fit imo, were really good in a way that they fit really nice with the song & give the pump-up feel, so gj on that objective.
My vote goes to Mxz.
Mustapha vs. Whitey
Mustapha: Your edit was really awesome, loved the color effects & the sync, tho the mood change was too slight & didn't really feel like it. What I didn't like was the ripple effects & the way too diffused cc, especially on the first part, where it didn't fit at all with the pace of the editing. The angles were pretty good as well, so, keep it up, really enjoyed this one.
Whitey: To start off, the cc was really awesome, love the realistic touch to it. The first part was really great & fit with the song really nicely, tho it could've been a little longer, the 2nd part really could've used a slightly different CC & more motion creating effects, the flickering was really out of place & didn't seem to have any intended sync or metric value (in terms of accenting the heavier beats & keeping tact order in mind). Even tho musties edit, imo, was way better, the change of feel in yours was more noticable, if not blatant (lol j/k, but you could've done it more subtlety instead of just a black screen & a song change).
Tough decision, but taking the objective in consideration, my vote has to go to White, as his shift was more noticable & contrasting.

The first part was nice, 2nd wasn't aggressive at all tho, should've used some motion & more reddish colors.

Angles need to have a focus & they need to be consistent, try not moving them around as much, keep focus on the stunt & the landing, keep interesting objects in mind when recording. Yours didn't have any focus, you didn't seem to try to emphasize the stunt nor the environment, thus making angles random & bad. Use full potential of your environment, try starting out with nice, still angles, where everything is in plain sight & gradually move on to more complex consistent movements. Use pan/crop to create motion, if necessary.

Since if I commited a flaw as putting that simulator effect, they said it's not fit to song mkay? stop whining, tbh the song fitted with the video and effects aswell. look what Determined said:

Bany: That part in begining was cool, and the song you chosed fiting realy good with the challenge. It was good because an retro movie doesnt have "effects".
Basium: I think you couls have made much beter, Tho im gonna be honest, that speed and TV simulator didnt helped at all (dont take this personaly, but its my opinion) Your video didnt looked much "retro" for me.

CW's not bitching when he's curious about which angles he disliked, it's for his own good & about the rock/pump up thing, I'm on his side. Bands like LB & P.O.D. are rapcore & are known for their pump-up nature.

Mike is a decent judge, and it's his opinion at the end of the day, you have no right whatsoever, to counter that.

Your objective was, to do the best edit with Retro style effects, TV Simulator isn't one BECAUSE the effect TV simulator is more futuristic, see now I'm judging your edit.
I don't give a damn about your camangles, even though most of them were good and clear.
And yes, it was a bit spedup, which made the viewer lose most of the feeling of the retro, it seemed like it need a little extra touch, it was too dull, compared to Bany's edit. Bany's edit was more lively, and gets you more involved into that old style retro feeling.
If I was a judge, I would definately vote for Bany, and it's not because of the "rivalry" between me and you, it's because it's a fact I believe most people would agree with me.
And I dare you, I dare you to come on here, and repeat this unnaceptable behaviour in here.

I see some of you still didn't get some facts I posted at the end of the Region 2 results. Also I suggest everyone to chill out though, this isn't GTAS forums so skip the flame wars or there'll be consequences.

I would suggest you two (Basium & Musta) calm down. Flame wars don't help anything even if you win you still acted like an idiot.
Mike had the final decision as a judge that doesn't mean arguing on his opinion, even if you disagree, will do much of anything.
And on that matter mustapha you are organizer of the event not a bodyguard, defending Mike shouldn't be much of your concern.
Judges get criticized left and right not everyone is happy and accepting the position means you should be aware of different opinions on outcomes.
I'm hoping this childish event won't affect any more of the competition.
