I may be a loser for not knowing this guy, but since I don't know him that means I'm not affected by his leaving, and that's a win in my views.

Brendon you should regret now knowing him. This guy had two 5970's running in crossfire with an i7 920 running at 4.0GHZ and an eyefinity setup with three 22 inch monitors. He was like a god amongst PC gamers. He even had two 5870's right before he got the 5970's.

Basics: nobody really knows this person but apparently people who did had a hype about him, not knowing the most enthusiastic PC person doesn't make you a loser, i doubt i still care that he left.

Out of the ones you listed I would go for Coheed and Cambria, Drowning Pool, and Apocalyptica. The rest of them are either very well known or just aren't similar to any of the bands he listed.

Well you just named all the good bands.

White Wizzard is a band that takes a lot from Maiden so you could try them.

Primal Fear is a great band that is sort of like a very heavy Power Metal band.

Blaze is a band that was formed by the ex-vocalist for Iron Maiden and I highly suggest you check out his band.

Filter might be something you'd like, although I'm sure you've heard them before

Fear Factory is pretty good.

Heaven and Hell is Dio's new band and if you like him then definitely check them out.

Megaherz and Oomph! are a lot like Rammstein and are both German bands.

Fozzy is a band formed by Chris Jericho and they have a lot of Iron Maiden influence but are much heavier.

Iced Earth is pretty good.

Killswitch Engage, if you haven't hear them then you must live under a pretty big rock.

Tool, you've probably hear them too.

Stereomud is a great band that takes a lot from Tool.

Mastodon are a really good Thrash band.
