Make sure that nothing else is accessing the file when you're trying to replace the information in it. Such as the game being open or another .img reader.

Sorry, we do not supported modified versions of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for support.

Please install a clean version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Before re-installing make sure to clean the registry, clean all information in the Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas folder and also in your My Documents GTA San Andreas User Files directory.
