Tip for a crashless game!
« on: October 07, 2009, 05:39:24 am »
Hello
i looked around on the "Other problems" Thread.
and people with those crashes,
i almost never have this problem
i had it too but solved it
just follow these steps.

1. Re-Install GTA SA + SA:MP.
2. Dont download SA plugins like, CLEO 3 things etc.
3. Dont install skins, Other modifications.
4. Maybe dont use ENB Series in SA:MP.
5. Or just dont change things in ur GTA:Sa folder. like Gta3.IMG

U dont have to do these things,
but it helped me.
i also played yesterday evening- 225 minutes !
in a row.

i dont have skins, enb series mod, or other modifications ..  etcetcetc.
and it playes Crashless!

Greetz.

If you're using WIndows Vista I highly suggest you switch to Windows XP. On Vista I would crash every 5- 10 minutes and on XP I can play up to 2 hours straight with no crashes.

I played on Vista for 1000 minutes already back then when I was playing a lot. Well that was kind of my record I think lol

I don't recommend anyone uses 7 for any sort of gaming because the OS is still in Beta. On October 22nd the full non beta version will be released so I suggest people wait till then to play SAMP or any other game on it. Stick with XP for now if you can.

Can't agree with you there, have been running it for a month now and have to say I really like it. And considering the topic; Less crashes in 7 then in XP.

Well everyone has their opinions.

So far it's crappy for general development and programming purposes. Which is all I really need a PC for at the moment.
