when i try and post an image, it comes up with an error has occured

Did you try to post it with IMG code?

You need to upload onto a webstite then send line with www.whatever.co.uk] [url=http://www.whatever.co.uk]www.whatever.co.uk (http://[url=http://www.whatever.co.uk)[/url]

ImageShack, upload, copy the Direct URL link, paste that in between (http://tags:-

And then it should show up :)
