"If Atheists ruled the world"
« on: May 10, 2009, 03:59:08 pm »
Just a little diddy i found online. I don't really find it offensive:
a) because I'm not an atheist and,
b) i'm not a christian fundementalist, either.

It's a dramatization of what some people have said. I quote: "All text taken directly from online Christian fundamentalist forums."
It's just very funny, is all! -_-

If Atheists Ruled the World

If you are easily offended by this, I would check the title of this Thread and then maybe go somewhere else?! Idk. But i will say that i don't intend to insult or offend anyone... hey, you guys know me!?

Cheers,

Ron

Religions/Beliefs are sorta messed up in this day and age.
Quick example: Pope Benedict XIII was in the Nazi youth. Hmm.

The simple fact is, that if someone cares about someone elses life choices, then they are freaks and should kill themselves and make the world a better place without war.

Oh and for the people who think "all" athiests are "narrow-minded", then you really need to look at yourself, since your the one actually thinking that because of a choice they made, yet most athiests, like myself, don't judge other people based on religion, unlike some people of any religion/belief, who "hate" muslims because they are all "terrorists". And if I was narrow minded because I'm an athiest, I'm sure I wouldn't believe in the following which I currently do:

Ghosts
Extra Terristials.

Oh, and I also wouldn't be ok with gays, which I am since its their choice and doesn't in fact relate to me. I also don't judge people by the choices they make, unlike most of our society who judge teenagers because the news gives bad media about them, and would I care to mention that these people in our society are of all different religions and beliefes.

Obviously some people have an incorrect definition of Athiests, thinking that we "HATE" religion or that we hate everything. Athiesm in fact, is used to show a belief in no god.

Funnily, I found out that Dave is in fact an athiest since he doesn't believe in god, and thats what the word means Dave.

Very interesting, admino.

I appreciate and welcome thoughts and opinions from people, regardless of their "beliefs", mainly because my own search for meaning and understanding of life is an on-going event. I swear that i will die too young because there is soooooooo much to learn in life...i just wouldn't have enough time if i lived to be...well, lived forever lol. But I don't think that means i have to make any fast decision (based on faith alone) because of it, either.

I was saying to Dave on the server that i find it easiest for me to talk about religious "beliefs" as a religious agnostic. (And if anyone doesn't know what the word "agnostic" means, I highly recommend you look it up. I myself was in my 20's when i finally understood what it meant, so don't feel bad.)

I find that Science is closer to what my perception of the Truth really is.

And I know....we are not alone!
