Train a n00b
« on: January 26, 2010, 11:48:17 pm »
I'v recently run into the idea that stunting has gotten more and more complicated. And by every new or so solo or video that is uploaded, expectations get higher, and "stunt esteem" drops lower. However an idea to keep the interest of stunting coming and the frustrations running, there is an idea of sharing experience. Example: naval, il admit i'v never landed it ^.^ but i have landed a majority of stunts that could place me a spot in xsa or something...maybe (sometime i might show a small video), still they did take a lot of frustration in which usual stunters might ace. In conclusion, veteran stunters like nka riki stumpy and others would be appreciated to help n00bs become regulars. :p thanx for your time.

P.S. - admino should give stunt advice cuz i saw him do pwnage stunts back then.

P.S.S. - im not a noob, iv landed a coolnocity amt of stunts XD.

Here is my advice:

Don't care.

Honestly, you're saying that your "stunt esteem" is dropping, so why not just stop caring about keeping up with the "latest and greatest" things that everyone does? Stunting has become a competition solely for bragging rights for a lot of people. Your "stunt esteem" has dropped because you are trying to join this large scale "mine is bigger then yours" arguement on the internet. You saying that you have landed a majority of stunts to get you in some crew, but are they new? If they are old or "lame" a spot by doing it in a more creative way, then you won't get into any crews because they care too much about that sort of thing.

Personally I stunt for fun every so often, but if something frustrates me or I don't want to do something I just won't bother. This is because I do not care for some childs arguement where they act like spoilt brats trying to decide who is the biggest and the best.

If you've got this far, thanks for reading it, but at the end of the day this is my opinion and I do not want to force it on you. If you disagree then I won't care unless you think you have some evidence to back it up.

from your point of view that does make a lot of sense. to me stunting has wavered being a competition or a puzzle of creativity. that being said there is also the fact that some people are competitive like me at certain things, like halo, or GOW2 i get competitive to make a name for myself, tho on WoS i'v won a number of stunt battles but i don't feel challenged, as some other people would. point being im a person who (at times) can bring a challenge, and cant leave people helpless so i. appreciate your comment. thank you

To me GTA Stunting is nothing more than a time waster/hobby. The main reason I stopped doing any videos is because when I started it was all about having fun and showing your friends what you could do, now it's like one massive competition and has been ruined by modders and the egotistical 13 year old's. The only people who've wavered stunting as a competition or "puzzle of creativity" were the same people who are disliked because of what they've made stunting into. Stunting is not about the challenge but about the fun and satisfaction that comes from it, unfortunately that fun has died since every time you land a stunt a group of kids who call themselves "Pro's"  harass you as if you've started the apocalypse.

"OMG MODDER" "GRAV HAX" "NOOB old stunt!!!!" "i've landed this like 5000000000000000 times" "you suck". Very true, i do agree with stumpy, yet i also agree with Zealous, for his reasons he merely just wants a challenge, and that fun back, for him the "Fun" is the competition, and saying "ah man, good job on that one, lets do it again?".  This is his fun, Our fun, or at least My fun would be hanging out with my friends on Wos and just being myself, and stunting and finding spots that I'VE never seen before, i don't care if it has been landed before, as if i land it, than i can say I've landed it, if not than i'll keep trying untill i do. my fun never ends because criticism has gotten very, VERY old.

Riki and stumpy you have put in a better way what i was tryin to say better, though stumpy i dont mean that i like to brag about being better at things i mean like i like a challenge at times. like when i stunt with riki we work to find stunts that might work or play a lil stunt game and if he clears the stunts first he'l wait or gimme a tip to help me or if i clear a stunt that i might get excited about il keep i pic of the bike up there or a vid but i wont if ever brag about a stunt unless im in an argument and usually won't argue/brag unless its with riki and they're mostly like grammatical or a past event and i wont brag unless i beat him at a button mashing mini game (which iv done 3 in a row >:) jk) . point being: kids with egos that brag = ignorant. noobs who really dk how to stunt = helpless.

sorry for the longest post but wanted to clear it up
