Does anyone else think that The Dark Knight is a bit over-rated? I saw it and I was expecting alot more than what it offered...maybe it just wasn't my type of movie but I found that there was such little action and lots and lots of seemingly pointless dialogue....anyone else felt this way?

Yah. I found it typically boring in most places. Only the best thing was like the last 50 mins or something. It was about 2 hours 30 mins long? Too long for that Batman film especially with not much action.

I think the dialogue explained so much more about the drama of being Batman. The whole movie was about Batman needing to know that he was needed as either Bruce Wayne or Batman. A kind of mid-life crisis, as it were.

He just needs to get laid wearing the costume and all will be good in Gotham City...lmao

I've come to realize that the last two batman movies with Christian Bale are the best ones so far. Yes, that's a personal choice and i don't expect everyone to agree. But look at the previous movies: they all were tongue-in-cheek projects that were trying to be serious without any substance. I mean, who would cast Micheal Keaton as Batman??? SERiously!!!! Mr. Mom as Batman... who wooda thunk it?rofl.

No, I think they got it right with the details about Batman in these latest flics. Batman Begins is excellent background for who Batman/Bruce Wayne really is and the latest movie has continued the story, what with Two Face and other characters that don't look ridiculously out of place like in the older movies. I did like Jim Carey as the Riddler but, before Batman Begins, all of the characters remind me of the Batman T.V. series of the late '60's: Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin), Cesar Romero (Joker), Frank Groshin (Riddler), Vincent Price (Egghead), etc. Watch those and you'll see what I mean.

At least the latest flics are somewhat believable, compared to its predecessors. And check out the excellent choice of Batman: Christian Bale!!! Almost all of his movies are awesome and weird. Weird in a good way...lol.

I loved this Batman movie, but I did not like the way the "batman" talked. It ruined it for me lol.

I really enjoyed it, probably not as much if Two Face wasn't in it, as he is beast.

The film was long as fuck (probably over 9000 hours) but it didn't bother me too much. I thought there was plenty of action.

On a side note, has anyone seen the Batman movie from 1966? It's epic win.

Yes, that's what I was refering to in my last post. It was a movie from the T.V. Series staring Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin, etc... Funny as shit.

BTW, welcome back Ice. long time, dude?
