Title: Something I learned in Science.
Post by: MrBrooks on May 24, 2009, 12:20:06 pm
Ok this is true and scientists have proven theories. Me and TheBeat were discussing this but he then got seriously owned by me and my knowledge.

The Ozone (O3) is made of loads of gases, main one is Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide. In the south pole there is a massive hole in the Ozone, about 40million tonnes of Ozone fit in it. The plants and animals beath in the Carbon Dioxide and let it out as Oxygen. The sea absorbs the Carbon Dioxide but now cannot hold anymore. The reason for this is because all the salt is saturated. Saturated as in full. So the north/south poles melt....and because it's ice, it's pure water.
Pure water has no salt in it so it cannot get saturated. It's unsaturated . So therefore the sea rises and cannot hold any carbon dioxide, resulting in a massive sea rise.

Who ever reads this now knows more and is ready. And also got owned by an Englishman. xD (Mainly because I'm retarded)

OMG are you making this up? 'Cause your facts certainly are not correct. For one, ozone (O3) is a gas that consists of 3 oxygen atoms. It's not made of loads of gases like oxygen or carbon dioxide, although these do appear in our atmosphere. The ozone layer of our atmosphere provides protection against ultraviolet radiation from our sun. Animals DO NOT breath in carbon dioxide and let it out as oxygen. Quite the opposite, actually.

As for your theory of massive sea rise, it makes no sense, either. Cite your sources on this because it's the first i ever heard of it! The salt is full? Can that even happen?

Cheers,

Ron

its not the animals that breath in carbon dioxide and give out oxigen, its green plants. the process is called fotosüntees in estonian, no idea what it might be in english tho. and yea O3, that is it, 3 atoms of O, aka oxigen. and oxigen only. carbon dioxide was CO2 i think. learn a bit more chemistry! thats science in england, fail!

im not picking sides but you all have good examples so maybe scientists aint telling us all they should :o who knows :P

LoL, thanks, Nka, but i'd probably just go and kick the dude in the nuts for giving out misinformation. :)

It happens here, too. I think it's an International problem with the lack of quality education in the world. Not enough money for education, but tons for wars?

But there is no excuse, especially with the advent of the Internet. It's a wealth of knowledge and a huge resource of information at the click of a mouse. Mind you, one has to be careful with what they read and you have to explore more than just a couple of pieces of what facts you are looking for. Just because some dude wrote it in a blog doesn't mean it's true. But if you look at enough information, you can develop a consensus of what are facts and what is just BS.

This is definitely NOT YOUR FAULT, Ryan. We've just let our governments get way too out of hand with their mismanagement of taxes and with what the real priorities are and to start representing the people again as they are supposed to do. That means more money for education and social programs. Truly, something has to be done?

And this is not anything more than MY opinion. No one is obliged to accept it. It's just a sad conclusion i've come to understand.

But, just because i understand it does not mean i have to accept it!

(It's recess, let's go play), -_-

Ron

Edit: I just came upon this and I just have to throw it in for posterities sake and its irony:

"Moreover, the satellites of Jupiter are invisible to the naked eye, and therefore can exercise no influence over the Earth, and therefore would be useless, and therefore do not exist." — Astronomer Francesco Sizzi, on Galileo's claim to have seen the moons of Jupiter

Holy sh*t....cow paddies!
Ronald, you smart cookie!
And you wouldn't kick him, you probs lick him, you dawg!

And....... The Ozone or trioxygen (O3) is a triatomic molecule, consisting of three oxygen atoms. It is an allotrope of oxygen that is much less stable than the diatomic O2. Ground-level ozone is an air pollutant with harmful effects on the respiratory systems of animals. The ozone layer in the upper atmosphere filters potentially damaging ultraviolet light from reaching the Earth's surface. It is present in low concentrations throughout the Earth's atmosphere. It has many industrial and consumer applications.

I went to my science school book, just then and copied that text, wich i think my science teacher got from wikipedia, but i looked into it further and it is correct.

Oi, and even though Ryan, failed, we all fell for his trap, So we all got owned by a Englishman. xD
