Im getting my new PC soon next year but it'll come fast, so im on to just find out the good cheap PC specs.
My opinion is:
CPU:Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz
RAM:6GB DDR3 G.Skill 1600Mhz
HDD:1TB
GPU:EVGA GeForce GTX 470 (Since HD 6870 and HD 6850 are already out in my country, im on to wait for GTX 580 wich will be out very very fastlly on PC shop where im getting new Computer)
I would like to hear your opinions about good PC Parts!
-
CPU is litle better than mine... (Not this crappy laptop)
Ram, wow you beat me, mine is only 4
1 tb is nice but you will never use it all <.<
9/10
10/10 if you made this PC by yourself

Good configuation, I have no suggestions. It would be hard for me to give any because I live in another country and we might have different parts that are available.
-
RAM's, CPU and HDD are good and going to get that, now the only thing is GPU and moderaboard and also other small parts included.
-
Can I ask what price your CPU is going to be?
-
Looks pretty damn good, only thing is the graphics card. I don't see why you need the best card out there, maybe try SLI?
On another note, could you help me find a good card for my system?
400watt psu
AGP x8
512mb ram PC3200(DDR 400)
AMD Sempron 1.5 GHZ
Those are my specs =D

Ninja. There is no point in just buying a new graphics card, the performance of it will be held back by the CPU performance.

Im used to lag, I just want a card that can run Directx 9 poperly. Im okay with having a pussy ass CPU Im just sick of having shitty laggy graphics.
-
Its a pointless upgrade. You should wait until you can afford both a better CPU as well as an average graphics card.

Yes but I don't want to run games maxed out with 100fps, I just want to run games. All I play are flash games, Halo & hopefully SA. If I get enough money around christmas time Im gunna buy more ram then a video card.
OFF-TOPIC: I got First in Year 9 Science at my schools prizegiving on thursday =D I got a cup with it too, i so pro.

280 euros.
-
Wow good new pc parts and is it going to be Windows 7 Ultimate.
-
Why not look at getting the AMD X6 they are rather cheap for the performance they bring.
-
Not gonna wait for that AMD's 6 core CPU, as one is already out and its 1055T, Im user of Intel's CPU's actually so im getting this i7.
And yes i also want Windows 7 Ultimate.
And guess what guys, i found a great case too:
-
My computer is like 7/10 and yours is like 10/10 but still my computer cost only 80 euros =D
(Including Windows 7 Ultimate)

I understand that you are a user of Intel CPUs because most of my friends in my town, won't even take the idea of buying an AMD. But if you want the most performance you can afford, then stick with the i7, as it has more L2 and L3 cache than the AMDs do.
But if I were you, I'd consider the i5, as it is still a quad core, it consumes less power than the i7 and amd quad/6 cores and it is still a very good processor. It will save you money in the long run with your electricity bill.

Yeah i know, thats whys im getting cheap stuff, and theres much better stuff (GPU's,CPU's,HDD's) that has much power and much expensive, so thats whys i want to get something lower.I wanted also i5 CPU like that latest one 760 with 2.8Ghz and just to OC it to 3.8Ghz, but ill stick with my i7 CPU anyway as i already told those guys that are working there to keep it for me till i get cash to buy it.
Also i may change my mind about those confs but i wouldnt change RAM's and GPU probably.
