Horrible, truely, this is just ruining the industry of what gaming was built on, fun.

I honestly don't see how looking at games is fun, I thought the point was to actually play it..hence, gaming.

I agree and disagree. Some games wouldn't be very fun at all if they looked like games from the late 90's.(Call of Duty, Gran Turismo/Forza, etc) But I do agree though that some developers are making games just to show off graphics (Crysis) and its ruining peoples perspective of what a good game really is.

The only games that I'd like to look nice are racing games.

I don't see the point personally in doing it to any other games that are supposed to be fun and not realistic. It just doesn't seem to fit.

I agree with ya on that too. Simulation games/Realism based games like Arma 2 are great with good graphics because the point of them is... well realism of course. Games like GTA4, Crysis, and Far Cry 2 really don't need the visuals they have. DirectX 11's tessellation will really help add details to cars in racing sims and add the ability to have unique looking buildings and weapons in FPS sims to help immerse you into the game more.

Honestly, i thought i was the only one left in the world that actually just played video games for the GAME and not the graphics, my Favorite game is STILL Mario kart i care not for graphics, sure its a nice add on but its not EVERYTHING, and if you think about it some times you get distracted from the game it screws you over because your paying attention to the graphics and not the GAME.

whoever plays a game for its looks, obviously doesnt play on WoS servers :P
my opinion is
why not make a game look better if you can? (this can be disagreed on)

Because then there's no memory on the disc left for gameplay. So it's just an interactive movie.

Metal Gear Solid 4 much? :)

I have no problem with games looking as realistic as possible, but it depends on the game. For example, I think GTA games shouldn't have become realistic graphically, whereas a realistic appearance suits a game like Battlefield.

Oh, you meant programmers. Well whatever gets the job done I guess. Hopefully it doesn't turn out like when Crytek bought out Activision and they made a bad game (Modern Warfare 2).

I just played the first 2 missions on MW2 and I gotta say the Single Player is actually not that bad. You get to actually see and hear Soap now . There was talk of that mission with you killing civilians inside an airport and I can really see why it might be offensive, you walk right into the airport and just start shooting hundreds of innocent civilians and its mass chaos, I was even hesitant to open fire on them but after a while your "evil side" takes over and you start to enjoy it. Overall its definitely improved over the first MW although I can't say much about Multi-Player.

Already beaten the game :D. It's great! I just love that there are a lot of types of missions (Snow, underwater, sand, etc.) B). I think due to ending MW3 might come out next year.
Also ending it's like from from the first game when you're almost dead and you need to kill the Makarov with a gun. Only this time is different place, different guy and different weapon :P.
