Thanks, I've been working on it since October.  You just have to do your homework and you can come up with a great PC like this one for such great price.

Hi Brendy!

Lucky you, that's a kickass computer imo! XD

Hum.. for the CPU, just be aware, the best deal you can get right now would be Phenom II X6, Its currently at 179$ on Newegg, so it would unfortunately bust your budget a little.

The AMD Phenom II X6 1055T   is getting 28.78 passmark points [(CPU Mark / $Price )] for 179$
The Phenom II X4 955 would be a little below 4,267 passmark points for $144.99 (maybe more since its black edition??)

Also I have read on an overclocking forum that you cannot change the CPU/NB Voltage on your Mobo , so that could be an issue, but since you are cooling with 2 stock casing fans, and that you did not purchase an after-market cpu heatsink, I assume you wont overclock.

Cool setup!

Nice work on putting that together. Why don't you go with a HAF 922 though? It's got more room than a Scout and it's slightly cheaper. I know Nka has one so you can ask him how it is.

Also, I'm not sure how much power two 570's will take, but Xion has an 80+ Gold Certified 700w PSU for $95.

If two cards can run on 700w then I suggest going for that Xion.

EDIT: Forget the HAF 922, it went up to $100 on Newegg, even though it was just $80 a month ago.

Yeah unfortunately I cannot go for an x6 at the moment.  Maybe in the future I will upgrade but I don't really see it as a big deal since most games support quad cores, not 6 core processors.  Where have you seen that you can't change Voltage on an ASUS? Usually you can customize anything on an ASUS, and this board I'm buying is alot of money so I am hoping it can.  If not, oh well.  I would probably keep the voltage on auto anyways.  The biggest reason I am buying this motherboard is that it support SLI x16 configuation, while most Mobos in this price range only support x8 SLI.  I will probably never SLI anyways but you never know.

Orion, the Stock cooler on the Phenom II black editions are actually pretty decent.  People with this same processor (according to reviews) have gotten the clock to 3.8GHz with ease just on Stock cooling.  I will also be removing the OEM compound and putting on Arctic Silver, maybe that will help it keep cool more.  Worst case scenario (I can't overclock at all) 3.2GHz is just fine for me.

Nice work on putting that together. Why don't you go with a HAF 922 though? It's got more room than a Scout and it's slightly cheaper. I know Nka has one so you can ask him how it is.

Thanks for the suggestion Max but I heard some pretty terrible things about XION power supplys (and their customer support).  I know someone IRL that has the same Antec PSU I'm getting and it's very powerful and quiet, and you can trust a big company like Antec to give support if you have any problems.
Also like I said, I might never SLI my cards.   When it comes time for an upgrade I might just buy a whole new card and keep my old one as a dedicated PhysX card or something.

No problem with that, everyone that goes to my College gets a free copy of Windows 7 Professional x64 though The MSDN Academic Alliance.

Oh by the way, I just bought a lotto ticket (I could win 20 million dollars.) If I win I owe Macress345 a $1,000 gaming computer!  I highly doubt I will win but whatever :P
